With no stars at night to guide them, the small herd had to hunker down to wait out the clouds. Food was scarce in this area, though, and the young Totoma knew that they wouldn't last very long unless something was done. They set out one night on their own, walking for what felt like days until they finally reached the edge of the clouds. They were able to see the stars and found the Guiding Light, the bright star that always led them home. Racing back to their herd, they led them out of the dreary mountain valley and back to their home, earning them their name.
