RP? "Tree daddy?
Tree daddy????" Strange Creature could not hold in her laughter, and in fact, was not even going to try. Tree daddy. Amazing. She was going to have to use that sometime. But for now, she was going to climb a pile of rocks with her pet lizard, because that was the kind of activity you did when your best friend was a lizard.
Together, Strange Creature and her troublesome double began to haul themselves up the pile. However, it didn't take long for her to realize that the lizard's eyes were on a very different prize- a tiny little crab! It was wedged into the place she was about to put her hoof, and she marveled at it; such a tiny thing, so cute, so intricate. The blue carapace was studded with rust-colored spots, and its pincers waved about as it -
Crunch.
She'd forgotten, momentarily, how much her favorite tegu enjoyed shellfish. After the senseless crab murder (she
wasn't hungry she'd been fed
less than an hour ago, Strange Creature composed herself and began to climb again while trying to keep an eye on her lizard. This didn't go particularly well; between her troublesome friend and the noise of kin around her, she completely didn't notice the accumulation of algae on the rocks. She planted her hoof squarely... and fell right back down the mound, spinning a bit as she fell. She found herself on the ground, facing away from the pile of stones. Rising to her feet, she flicked off the algae and hopped back up to where she'd been before, to where Trouble Double was... asleep, belly full of crab. She nudged the tegu, and the lizard merely yawned at her. No, it was not the time for moving. It was time for napping.
And perhaps she was right. Strange Creature had been running around all day, tending her booth, playing at others- maybe she could just curl up and take a little nap here. The stone was a smooth slab right here, and the sun had warmed it perfectly; a lizard or kin could be perfectly content on this rock. She stretched, then sank to her knees and curled up. Just a quick rest. The tegu roused and climbed up on top of her head, her favorite nap spot, and the two of them rested for a bit, until something walking past tickled Strange Creature's nose. Dreamily, slowly, she blinked her eyes open to see another little crab scuttling sideways, on its way to do whatever it was that crabs do during the day.
As the crab skittered, she felt claws press hard against her head as the creature napping there was also awakened.
Crunch.
She didn't even have time to try and stop her murderous pet. The tegu licked her lips, using her tongue to wipe her snout clean of crab juice, because she was a lizard and sometimes lizards are gross murderers. Shaking her head, she lifted the big reptile and started to trek back up the hill of stone. The salt spray and sunshine were lovely things! Emboldened by the sweet music of birdsong, she continued her trek up... until she was faced with an entire group of little crabs. She was transfixed- look at them, circling each other! Were they dancing? Playing? Fighting? She didn't know. But one thing was certain, she absolutely had to hold onto her lizard this time. This was a family, maybe! She couldn't let her eat an entire family! Maybe she'd already eaten two of their family members! Instead of climbing the hill, she wrestled with her overeager tegu, trying to keep the lizard from committing some kind of crab war crime. She wrangled her around to a smooth stone parallel with the spot they'd just been. They had made exactly no progress, but importantly, the crabs were safe.
2 - You find a nice little notch in the rock to use as footing, but a tiny lil crab is in there! It's so cute! You don't move for awhile.
1- The chaos around you distracts you and you misstep right into some particularly slippery sea slime. Lose 2 steps
19 - The warm sun is maybe a little too comfortable and you find yourself needing to take a minute to rest your eyes. A lil crab walks past.
15 - The wind sprays you with salt water and a little bird sings off in the distance. It's so pleasant and encourages you to keep going. + 2 steps
7 - You find a group of little crabs doing little crab things. Where did they come from? Where are they going? You get distracted and go nowhere.
