Being mostly blind thanks to an eye disease has left him realizing he much prefers more melodic voices...and doesn't hesitate to tell someone when their voice bugs him. He's very lucky and happy his roommate turned boyfriend has an amazing voice (and runs his own spooky podcast that he loves to listen to) so it's a win-win in his opinion.
