Gryphon, Tea dragon, Cave worm, Tea dragon, Gryphon

Responding in this order;
> A gryphon went missing, where does your kin find it hiding?
> The gryphon won’t let you approach unless you come bearing food. What does your kin offer?
> What does the tea dragon’s scent remind the kin of?
> Oh no, the tea dragon is fighting with the cave worm. What does your kin do?
> These cave worms are pointier than usual. How does this make it harder or easier for your kin to interact with them?
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Air was never one to shy away from a challenge but even she had reservations about the petting zoo, taking tentative steps inside the pen. There was a kerfuffle from the others gathered and she overheard some frantic whispers from the hosts; something about a missing gryphon and the acha was certain the word bite was thrown around more than she was comfortable with. Still, she didn't like the idea of something being lost and afraid so made off to look for it. It wasn't hard to find - there's only so many places for the gryphon to hide but it had done a good job of squishing itself between a rock and a tree stump, shaded by overgrowth. It snapped its beak and let out a menacing rumble as she neared it and she jumped back.
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Air sat out of the gryph's range of attack for a few moments, simply watching. The familiar did not move, only its eyes darted from Air to the pile of food left out for the creatures and pack again. Its nose twitched and it let out an exasperated huff.
'Oh, Air thought to herself, putting two and two together. If it's been hiding for some time it likely hasn't been eating much. She shuffled over to the food and picked out a variety; fresh fruit, leafy greens and some meat. Truly, she didn't know what gryphons ate and so she figured it could take its pick.

The doe placed the food down - safely out of harms way - and then gently nudged them hard enough that they rolled forward. It seemed it wasn't picky and gobbled the lot, followed with a satisfied chirrup and a ruffling of its feathers.
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Air decided to leave the gryphon be for now, it was clearly more comfortable on its own and she didn't wish to stress it out. She stood and went for a wander when she caught a familiar scent - moss, iron and rain. A memory flashed into her head of exploring caves in the rain, falling and scraping her legs on the sharp stones; she still bore the scar. It took her a moment to realise the smell was coming from a tea dragon basking in the sun. How odd!
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
The tea dragon's slumber was interrupted suddenly by a cave worm that got a little too close for its comfort and slid across its tail. leaving a trail of ooze behind. The tea dragon let out a growl and launched at the cave warm, a flurry or claws and teeth and Air did her best to put herself in the middle of them, earning a few nasty scratches herself.
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
She tried to nudge the cave worm out of the way but where normally a soft, squishy body would resist her pushing she was instead met with spikes that pricked and clung to her skin. She sucked in a breath and cursed, finally managing to block the tea dragon enough that it grew bored and wandered off to find a new place to sun itself.
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Air limped from the petting zoo, sporting new cuts with a pretty good chance of scarring. "I'll uh... I'll think about adoption and come back later.. Thanks!"

Eagle
An eagle is building a nest in the corner. What does your kin do?
Leaves You Breathless sees the eagle quitely building its nest in the midst of the choas of all the other creatures. She looks at the paddock for an elevated spot and gently nudges the eagle to finalizing its nest there. It takes some effort and back and forth, but eventually the eagle understands her intentions.

Owlcat
Your kin feels a tugging on their ankle. The owlcat seems to want to show you something. What is it?
Leaves You Breathless lowers her head to the owlcat tugging on her ankle. "What it is little one? Do you need something from me?" The owlcat turns away from her and walks a few steps before looking back. She understands that it wants her to follow it, so she does. In a hidden nook of the paddock, behind some rocks, is a small nest of eggs that the owlcat shows her. She should tell the proprietors that they will have more little critters on hand!

Teadragon
These tea dragons have more limbs than normal. How does this make it harder or easier for your kin to interact with them?
Ditzy Slick hops around the tea dragons, which then skitter on their many legs to chase her. She marvels at the creatures, more maneuverable than their normal kin because of their extra legs. She hops three times to the side and they smoothly take sidesteps to catch up with her! Incredible!

Gryphons
The gryphon is tense about something. What could be causing it?
Auspicious Breeze immediately comes to the gryphon's side. He looks around to see if there's anything that is causing it stress. Nothing. He cautiously nudges the Gryphon with his nose and feels that its abdomen is swollen. Not in a pregnant way, but in a bloated sense. He rubs his snout against the Gryphon's stomach and gently applies pressure until finally he hears it let out a loud burp.

Lion
Your kin realizes the lion has been stalking them while they go about the paddock.
Coaxing Melody admires the lion's coat and stance. If she wasn't already wary of the other animals in the paddock, it may have eluded her notice. She moves slowly, letting it folllow her as she sings an enchanting aria. Eventually she makes eye contact with it and, while continuing to sing, slowly steps towards the lion. Completely disarmed by her melody, she gives the lion an affectionate nudge on the forehead.

Endeavors couldn’t remember anything about her past, save for brief and confusing snippets, but she sure as muck knew about animals. For some reason knowledge of the flora and fauna of the swamp was stuck like a burr in her brain. So when she came across the… ominous sign whilst pursuing the market, she nodded to the two does. “I’ll do my best,” she promised, turning to fix the misbehaving creatures with her typical determined gaze.
4. b. You spot the cave worm curled up around something. What is it? is it someone?
“Wow, what stunning creatures,” Endeavors murmured to herself as she admired the flared frills of the cave worms. Were these something new- or just new to her. Cautiously she approached one, hoping to examine its frills in detail, but as she approached one it reared up and fanned its frill out in a clear threat. She paused, standing her ground, and realised it was guarding something. Something…. Wriggling.

Firmly, but gently, she pressed a leg into the worm’s head to redirect its chomping mandibles and released a hugely disgruntled looking lizardy thing from within the curl of the worm’s body. It scuttled away and the worm made a noise of irritation.

“Don’t start with me,” Endeavors told it sternly, “I’m absolutely certain you were not meant to have that.

If a worm could look ashamed of itself, this one did.
1 a. A whine pulls your attention to a sand dog lying down and staring up at you. It clearly wants something, but what does it want? Or what does your kin attempt to give it?
The sand dog was sleek and looked fast, but its eyes were huge and round as it peered up and Endeavors. She tilted her head, an indulgent smile playing around her lips. “What?” she murmured, and the dog, having got its attention, started to wag its tail rapidly. “What?” Ends repeated, dropping into a playful crouch, which resulted it an even more rapidly wagging tail. “Oh you wanna play?” She pounced gently at the sand dog, and it darted back from her, barking happily, before lunging back to nose Ends’ hoof and jumping back again. It took quite some time but eventually the excitable pup was tired out from playing - and Ends along with it!
5 b. What does the tea dragon’s scent remind the kin of?
After quite some time sitting on the ground catching her breath, the sand dog curled up in a happy lump next to her, Ends noticed one of the small reptilian familiars approaching her. She’d seen things like this around the swamp- apparently it was a tea dragon, although these seemed to be a different breed to the others she’d observed.

“Hello,” she greeted it gently, holding out a hoof. They moved very enchantingly, she had to admit, twirling gracefully through the air to land on her hoof. She knew from experience these dragons could have quite the unique scents, and this one-

This one smelled like rose bushes and mud after rain…

Endeavors wasn’t sure what, but the scent meant something to her.
3 b. The lion shows its belly. Is this legit? Is this a trap? What does your kin do?
Endeavors knows better than to touch a cat’s stomach. She wasn’t interested in lose any more limbs. The purring feline padded up to her and slumped down, rumbling happily. She watched it looking at her and gently extended a hoof to its nose. It gave a giant sigh, tickling her fur with its breath, and she rubbed its nose. Its eyes closed, seeming in ecstasy, as she continued to pet the majestic animal, smiling with a rare softness.
8 c. One of the spiders is weaving strange shapes in their web. What does your kin see?
These spiders were incredibly charming to Endeavors, and she spent some time just watching them waving their little fluffy arms around. It was kinda beautiful- like some kind of sea creature bobbing in the current. One spider was carefully spinning a web, and she watched it for a while, admiring the meticulous movements and determined dedication. The shapes the web took on were fantastical and strange- starbursts, leaves, toadstools and moons, along with swirling spiral patterns. How mesmerising.

ONCE UPON A
Tickets: 25
1 - Sand dog - A whine pulls your attention to a sand dog lying down and staring up at you. It clearly wants something, but what does it want? Or what does your kin attempt to give it?
Sleepy Time and the dog were staring at each other.

It felt like both a long time had passed and no time at all, and Sleepy Time, quite honestly, still had no idea what the sand dog wanted. It kept whining, and that alone made Sleepy Time wish he knew, because the whining was preventing what could have been an ideal naptime otherwise.

The staring continued. After a long moment, Sleepy Time said tentatively, "Did you - er, want to come over here?"

The sand dog made a whuffing nose in the back of its throat. Then it slunk over, giving Sleepy Time a narrow eye, turned in several circles, and eventually curled up at his hooves. It put its head on its paws and promptly fell asleep.
2 - Owlcat - The owlcat has been staring at a specific spot just behind your kin for an uncomfortably long time. What does your kin think is going on?
Ghosts were real, Sleepy Time was quite certain, but he was not fully certain about other things one couldn't see. Especially since the owlcat, which had decided to shuffle closer with its beady black eyes, kept staring at a spot just below Sleepy Time's left ear and hadn't stopped staring for a good several moments.

Sleepy Time wondered if he was about to be eaten. He turned and hastily walked away before the possibility could be come a reality.
8 - Spiders - How does your kin feel about giant spiders?
"I really - " Sleepy Time gasped, skittering away on unsteady hooves, " - really think this was a very bad idea. Like, really bad, I think I should just - yes, I should go now - "

The rest of his sentence tailed off in a high pitched squealing sound that sounded less like a zikwa and more like something had just died and come to life again. He was trying his hardest to get away, but the spider was scurrying after him, waving its thin, spindly arms and Sleepy Time gave a squawk of protest, clambering up the nearest hill.

"No, really, it was lovely to mee - anyway I've got to leave - "
5 - Tea dragon - These tea dragons have more limbs than normal. How does this make it harder or easier for your kin to interact with them?
More limbs did not mean more excitement. In fact, Sleepy Time thought, as he eyed the creatures suspiciously, it meant more concern because he was pretty sure that more limbs and more little claws and grasping little talons meant more stolen things - like time.

And sleep. He narrowed his eyes again and said, "Stay."

The dragons watched him, unimpressed.
7 - Gryphons - The gryphon won’t let you approach unless you come bearing food. What does your kin offer?
The gryphons were, as usual, intense creatures. Sleepy Time watched them from a distance, disappeared for a while, and then returned with a little collection of berries and nuts that he had gathered together. He set it on the ground on a large, waxy leaf and then carefully nudged it towards the gryphons.

They did not look particularly pleased with his offering, but they ate it nonetheless.
