5. The line goes taut and tugs you forward with immense strength. The fishing rod is pulled from your grasp and goes crashing into the water. Tricks sighs and gives you a judgmental side-eye.

Frog made a fruitless lunge for the rod but stopped sort of leaning over the edge. They ignored Tricks’ glare and sighed. Maybe tomorrow something totally bizarre wouldn’t happen when they cast their line. They doubted it somehow.

Hidden Beauty was not amused with this development. She was now in the water instead of staring at it. To top it off, she’d left Dead Fish out in the sun and heat where he hated to be. It couldn’t be helped though. She’d have to climb her way back up the stump to rescue him from the heat. Especially since he’d start smelling gross if he was out too long…

43. You pull up a beautifully preserved flower that seems to glow softly. It carries the scent of blood and ash.

Soul Out Of Time sighs. Today's catch isn't even food. But it's quite pretty. She wasn't so old and frustrated with everything that she could not appreciate something pretty. She would wear the flower on her ear and enjoy the odd smell. At least it fights away the saltiness of the ocean outside.

Anoghter day, another rock tossed at a log. Until the colorful creture would tell her something interesting again soon, this was starting to get repetitive.

15. You catch a glimpse of a skull just below the water's surface. You blink and suddenly there are hundreds.

4. As you tug at the line, a chicken surfaces, squawking loudly.

Green from the Seed puts the chicken down next to her and undoes the line. If she had a line around her neck she would probably be squawking too! After a few comforting pats, the chicken seemed soothed. What was it doing down there?

Antelope, who wasn’t as careful as he should’ve been.
No, he should’ve known the ants would lead the dog right to him.

12. You catch an ancient, barnacle-covered fish that tells you tales of the sea.

Slowly, Frog’s gaze slid from the fish to Tricks.

“It would feel very wrong to cook and eat this,” they whispered out of the corner of their mouth.

Hidden Beauty narrows her eyes at the whirlpool that’s taken her catch today. Well, she’d just have to try again for a fish tomorrow. She collected Dead Fish and his nest and went to a spot where the heat wouldn’t cause him to stink more than he already did.

14. You reel in a fish that burps rainbow-colored bubbles.

It's a welcome relief to catch a fish. Even if it does continue to expel rainbow-colored bubbles as it flops. He's never seen a fish burp. It's kind of alarming . . .

21. You pull up a creature that resembles a tiny, twisted version of a crab. It clicks menacingly before scuttling away.

Soul Out Of Time yelps as the crab-thing twists its way off of her fishing line. It pauses as though to stare at her, then quickly skitters into the stump. She couldn't be bothered to give chase. If someone finds it and wants it, it's theirs.

Soul Out of Time had a lot of frustration to work out today. Her hit on the log leaving a deeper dent than those made before. She feels like she's slowly going crazy here.

Liquid Amber looks down at his catch... what strange scales it has, almost like a marking. Upon closer inspection, Liquid Amber realizes that it was just a piece of seaweed.
